Renovation of Tetenbüllspieker

The over 100 year old sluice building had to be renovated and rebuilt to maintain its functionality. In the course of the building renovation, in addition to the partial dismantling of the solid walls of the inlet and outlet structure, a special corrugated steel SUF 34 profile was inserted as a twin structure through the existing sluice building. After filling in layers with a liquid cement suspension, the corrugated steel structure takes on the complete static load of the sluice tube.

The Challenge

The stroke protection system of the second dike safety was replaced by a remote-controlled stroke protection system made of stainless steel mounted on the inlet structure. The stop gates on the outlet structure were also replaced. The builder, Deich- und Hauptsielverband Eiderstedt, provided us with these meaningful pictures for this construction project.
