The Challenge

Hamco’s part was to redevelop a completely water-covered and meanwhile wrecked concrete structure (tide-depending) by means of a HAMCO MultiPlate pipe arch.
A special feature of this structure was not the normal HAMCO pipe arch, however, the profile had to be made floating by means of bodies placed inside the strcuture on site.
After the profile had been completely assembled in the harbour area and provided with floating bodies, 70m-long structure was submereged and pulled into the old structure step by step considering the tide.
Afterwards the gab was filled with underwater concrete section by section.
