The Challenge

Within the expansion of a French gravel works several Hamco corrugated steel pipes were used as conveyor belt tunnels.

The first circular profile is a conveyor belt tunnel with three conical funnels, the second and third circular profile fit together with help of a T-junction made of prefabricated steel parts.

The second one is 40 m long with two conical funnels and the third one is 100 m long with six conical funnels. Each of these two last mentioned tunnels have cut ends.

  • Rise: 3,51 m / 3,66 m
  • Length: 40,00 m / 100,00 m
  • Plate thickness: different plate thicknesses and types of bolting
  • Corrosion protection: Hot-dip galvanizing
