B 12, rehabilitation of building “Hammerbach”

The Challenge

The construction for the undercrossing of the “Hammerbach” is composed of trapezoidal steel elements (external prodcut) and was not corrosion-protected realized.

Therefore a rehabilitation of this structre was mandatory. The position of this structure and the height of cover with 11,00 m allowed no new construction. The rehabilitation must happen with an inliner assembled in the old structure.

Our product Hamco LinerPlate-2flange fulfilles all requirements and was realized. We produced diverse special constructions – 7 elbows, 123 filling sockets, 2 bevel cover and 1 sidelong inlet. The assembly was carried out in double working shifts within 2 months including several breaks due to high tide.

The cross-section-difference was filled throught the filling sockets with light-pore-mortar. After the complete backfilling the Hamco LinerPlate 2-flange structure took over all loads.
